The holiday season is a time for giving, and this year, our community truly came together in the spirit of generosity and care. The local fire department stopped by recently to collect the incredible donations from our annual toy drive, and the experience was nothing short of magical.
A Firetruck Full of Joy
With smiles brighter than ever, the firefighters arrived to pick up the donations that have been pouring in from our community over the past few weeks. From stuffed animals to board games, action figures to art supplies, every toy represents the thoughtfulness of those who contributed to making this holiday season special for children in need.
We’re excited to announce that the Markdale Golf and Curling Club generously contributed $500 towards the toy drive this year, as well as $1,000 to the food bank! These thoughtful donations allowed us to purchase even more toys and provide essential support to the community, spreading joy and making a meaningful difference for families in need.
Watching the firefighters load the toys onto their truck was a sight to behold—it was a moment of unity, kindness, and the embodiment of the holiday spirit.
