The Markdale Golf and Curling Club thrives on the dedication and passion of its volunteers! All leagues and social events are made possible by the contributions of our members. Volunteering is a fantastic way to connect with others, give back to the club, and ensure we can continue offering exciting activities for both our members and the community.

We are currently seeking volunteers for the following initiatives:

Friday Night Social Nights

Help us create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere! Friday Social Nights aim to introduce potential
new members to curling while providing a social outlet for our community. Volunteers will:

• Act as hosts, greeting attendees and helping them feel at home.
• Offer tips on curling for beginners or help organize games for those ready to play.
• If Smart Serve certified, assist with bar duties.

Events Committee

• Brainstorm and plan new event ideas.
• Organize and gather feedback on events.
• Organize volunteers for club-hosted activities.

Smart Serve Certification

We need members who are willing to take their Smart Serve certification to support the bar at league events and socials. The club will cover the cost of the certification, and you’ll help ensure everyone can enjoy their post-game celebrations.
